Wager Bureau

BONUSES · SIX OFFERS, COMPARED · VERIFIED 2026-05-11

Every welcome bonus,
with the math.

Headline numbers lie. A "$10,000 bonus" at 40x slots-only wagering with a $5,000 max-cashout cap is worth a fraction of its sticker price once the math runs. The bureau pulls every welcome offer's wagering, max bet, validity, max cashout, and min deposit into one comparable view. HOW TO READ A WELCOME BONUS

The four numbers that actually matter

The headline of a welcome bonus — the "100% match up to $1,000" line on the casino's landing page — is the operator's marketing message. It tells you almost nothing about what the offer is actually worth. The cleared-out expected value of a bonus comes from four numbers buried in the terms and conditions, and once you know how to read them, every welcome offer in the segment becomes directly comparable.

  1. Wagering requirement. Almost always expressed as a multiplier on the bonus amount (or sometimes on deposit + bonus). 40x is the segment standard for crypto-friendly casinos. A $1,000 bonus at 40x means you need to wager $40,000 of qualifying slot turnover before you can withdraw any winnings derived from the bonus. Above 40x is punishing; 30x or below is unusually generous; 0x means the bonus credit is real cash with no rollover at all.
  2. Max bet during wagering. $5 is the industry default. Any single spin or hand over that limit while bonus is active typically voids the bonus and any winnings derived from it. This is the clause that catches more players than any other — it's why the bureau warns about bonus-buy mechanics on certain Pragmatic Play and Nolimit City titles, which can trip the max-bet rule even when the displayed bet is below the cap.
  3. Validity window. 7 days is segment-standard; 14 days is generous; 21+ days is rare. The validity window forces the player to clear the wagering at a sustainable pace, or forfeit. A 14-day window at 40x is roughly twice as clearable in expected value as a 7-day window at the same wagering — you can spread the turnover over twice as many sessions, which reduces the variance of clearing the rollover.
  4. Max cashout cap. This is the single largest hidden constraint in welcome offers. A $10,000 headline bonus with a $5,000 max cashout cap means that no matter how much you win during the wagering clearance, the operator only commits to paying out $5,000 of it — the rest is reclaimed at the cap. Some operators (Oshi, mBit) have no max cashout cap on welcome bonuses; others (Lucky Dreams) cap at 50% of the headline number.

Take the four numbers together and you can ballpark the cleared-out expected value of any welcome offer at roughly 20-35% of the headline at a 40x slots-only structure, climbing to 50-80% at wager-free or low-wager structures with no cashout cap. The bureau's table above lays out all four numbers per brand so you can do the math without digging through five pages of T&Cs.

BONUS TERMS GLOSSARY

Vocabulary every depositor should know

Wagering / Rollover / Playthrough
Same concept, three names. The amount of turnover a player must wager before bonus-derived winnings can be withdrawn. Always expressed as a multiplier (e.g. 40x) on bonus, or sometimes on deposit + bonus. Industry standard is 35-45x.
Bonus contribution
Different game categories contribute different percentages to wagering. Slots usually contribute 100%; table games 10-20%; live dealer 0-10%; certain "excluded titles" contribute 0%. The fine print determines whether your favorite game even counts toward clearing the rollover.
Max bet during wagering
The maximum allowed bet per spin or per hand while bonus is active. Industry standard $5. Exceeding it voids the bonus and any winnings from bonus play.
Max cashout
The ceiling on what a player can withdraw from bonus-derived winnings, irrespective of how much was won. A $5,000 cap on a $10,000 bonus means $5,000 is the realistic upside.
Min deposit
The smallest qualifying deposit that unlocks the bonus. Usually $20 across the segment; sometimes higher for crypto chains.
Validity / Bonus expiry
How long after claiming the bonus you have to clear the wagering. 7 days is standard; 14 days is generous. Unspent bonus and any unwithdrawn winnings forfeit at expiry.
Free spins
A set number of slot spins at a fixed bet value (usually $0.10-$0.20 per spin), usually on a specific title. FS winnings have their own wagering window, typically 1-3 days at 30-45x.
Sticky vs non-sticky bonus
Sticky bonuses can't be withdrawn even after clearing wagering — only the winnings come out. Non-sticky means both the bonus amount and the winnings are withdrawable. Almost all welcome bonuses in the bureau set are sticky.
No-deposit bonus
A small bonus credit (usually $5-$25) given without requiring a deposit. Typically carries heavier wagering (50-70x) and tight max cashout caps. Used by operators for acquisition; rare among the bureau's six brands.
Cashback
A rebate on net losses paid as bonus credit or as wager-free real cash. Wager-free cashback is materially more valuable than rollover-attached cashback.
Reload bonus
A match bonus on subsequent (post-welcome) deposits. Usually smaller percentage (20-50%) and lower caps than welcome, often weekly or on specific days.
Wager-free
Bonus credit that lands in real-money balance with zero rollover. Genuinely rare in the segment; Winz.io is the bureau's only fully wager-free welcome operator.

RED FLAGS IN BONUS T&Cs

Clauses that signal a punishing offer

Three categories of clauses tell you when a bonus is structured to claw back value the headline number promises:

Watch for

  • Wagering above 45x. Above this threshold the cleared-out expected value of the offer drops below 15% of headline. Avoid unless the offer is structurally compensating (no cashout cap, very long validity).
  • Validity under 5 days. Forces high-variance play to clear the rollover. Acceptable only for sophisticated players willing to size up and run hot.
  • Max cashout below 5x bonus. A $1,000 bonus with a $3,000 max cashout cap means even a hot run of $20,000 in winnings pays out $3,000. Asymmetric upside truncation.
  • Martingale or low-risk void clauses. Some operator T&Cs reserve the right to void winnings from "low-risk" betting patterns — doubling on losses, mirror bets, bonus-hunting strategies. Enforcement varies; some operators enforce aggressively.
  • Bonus-buy restrictions. Many T&Cs prohibit purchasing slot bonus rounds (the "buy feature" on Nolimit City, Hacksaw, and certain Pragmatic Play titles) during bonus play. Violating triggers max-bet voidance.
  • Daily win cap below $50k. A net-win cap means even if you win $80,000 in a single 24-hour window, the operator only commits to paying $50,000 through normal cashier flow. High-stakes players should plan around this.

Green flags

  • Wager-free or wagering ≤ 30x. Unusually player-favorable. Treat as the high-value end of the segment.
  • Validity ≥ 14 days. Doubles the runway versus segment standard.
  • No max cashout cap. Bureau holds Oshi and mBit as no-cap operators on welcome; uncommon in segment.
  • Stated bonus contribution ≥ 100% on at least slots. The minimum bar — most operators clear this, but a few don't for live dealer or table games.
